Who is responsible

Junglevaultbamboo Editions Ltd, 42 Pearse Street, Dublin 2, D02 YX88, Ireland, company no. 761284, is responsible for personal information received through our editorial correspondence. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Browsing and technical information

Delivering website pages requires technical processing of information such as an IP address, requested resource, time of request and browser connection details. Hosting infrastructure may process access and security logs to operate and protect the service. Such processing is limited to website delivery, troubleshooting and security, based on legitimate interests in providing a functioning, secure website.

The site code does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, external fonts or embedded social-media widgets. See our cookie notice for the distinction between website code, browser caching and any separately presented preference controls.

The local message composer

Text entered in the message composer is processed in the current page to produce a plain-text preview. The tool has no submission endpoint and does not send your draft to us. Its code does not save the draft to cookies or localStorage. Your browser may independently provide autofill or restore form values according to its settings.

Copy writes the prepared text to your device clipboard when permission is available. Download creates a text file on your device. Clipboard history, downloaded files and any sharing from them are controlled by your device and applications. Clear those copies yourself if they contain information you no longer want to retain.

If you email us

Sending an email shares your address, message, any name you provide and normal email metadata with us and the email services involved. We use this information to consider your enquiry, respond, investigate corrections and maintain relevant correspondence. Our basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and keeping appropriate editorial records. Where correspondence concerns a legal obligation or claim, the relevant obligation or legitimate legal interest may also apply.

Do not send sensitive personal information or unnecessary information about other people. We do not use enquiry addresses for unsolicited marketing or sell correspondence data. Email and hosting providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to supply their services. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Retention, security and international processing

We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to address the matter, maintain relevant correction records or meet legal requirements. Retention depends on the enquiry's purpose rather than an indefinite default. Technical logs should be retained only as needed for operational and security purposes.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Where a service provider processes personal information outside the European Economic Area, applicable transfer requirements must be met, including an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards where required.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us with enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing personal data.

You may raise a concern with the Irish Data Protection Commission or your local supervisory authority. We would also welcome the opportunity to address a concern directly. Material changes to this notice will be reflected on this page.
